What God Says About You: 10 Truths to Replace Every Lie

You are not what your worst day says about you. You are not what your most critical inner voice says about you. You are not defined by your failures, your past, your insecurities, or the opinions of people who do not truly know you. You are defined by what God says about you — and what He says is extraordinary.

1. You Are Loved Unconditionally

Romans 8:38-39 — Nothing in all creation can separate you from the love of God. Not your mistakes. Not your doubts. Not your worst season. His love is not based on your performance.

2. You Are Chosen

Ephesians 1:4 — “He chose us in him before the creation of the world.” You were not an afterthought. You were chosen before you ever drew a breath.

3. You Are a New Creation

2 Corinthians 5:17 — “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Who you used to be does not define who you are now.

4. You Are Forgiven

1 John 1:9 — “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Completely. Not partially.

5. You Are Never Alone

Hebrews 13:5 — “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” In every room. In every valley. In every sleepless night. He is there.

6. You Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Psalm 139:14 — “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” You are not a mistake. You are a masterpiece.

7. You Are Valuable Beyond Measure

Matthew 10:31 — “So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” If God clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows, how much more does He treasure you?

8. You Have a Purpose

Ephesians 2:10 — “We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Your life has meaning that was designed before you were born.

9. You Are More Than a Conqueror

Romans 8:37 — “In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Not barely surviving — more than conquering.

10. You Are God’s Child

1 John 3:1 — “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”

Read these truths out loud today. Write them on a card and put them where you will see them. Every time a lie rises up, replace it with what God says. Share this with someone who needs to be reminded of their true identity.
